Also, a conviction of an offense that the Center determines is a contraindication to employment or volunteer status.  In addition, individuals with confirmed allegations of abuse or neglect, or who are listed as unemployable in the Employee Misconduct Registry or as revoked in the Nurse Aide Registry will not be eligible for employment or volunteer status.

Position provides direct services to adults with mental illness, and assists them to gain access to medical, social, educational, and other needed resources.  Responsibilities include obtaining BHO service authorization, and provision of rehabilitative and skills training, service coordination, treatment planning, crisis services, as well as documentation of client progress.  Requires extensive travel within the Hunt County service area.  Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in counseling, social work, or psychology, or other qualified social, behavioral, or human services field.  Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.  Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a qualified human services field; two years of related work experience in a mental health setting; knowledge of psychotropic medications and DSM IV; working computer skills including MS Word; and bilingual skills (English/Spanish).

Through routine, monthly Family Support Group services, this position will provide information and referral, informal support, and education services to families accessing the mental health services system.  Through this process, the position will serve as a peer mentor, will advocate for the education of families, and will strive to build effective interaction between public agencies, youth/adolescents, families, and community.  The position will provide information related to due process rights and resources to link with community support systems; aid in problem solving for effective interaction with public agencies; and support to parents in their achievement of personal goals that will improve the outcomes for their children.  Some travel required.  Minimum Qualifications: Requires eighth grade reading comprehension level as evidenced by score on the Adult Basic Learning Exam (ABLE), or one semester (12 semester hours) of accredited college work, plus six (6) months of work experience.  Must be a family member to a child who has received or is currently receiving services from a child-serving agency for mental health related issues. Position works under the supervision of the Medical Director, and is responsible for providing psychiatric and physical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of clientele in accordance with MH Community Standards, Commissioner’s Rules, BNE guidelines for scope of APN practice, Medicaid standards, and all other applicable department rules and regulations.  Responsibilities also include documentation of daily service records that support the community MH record system, as well as the reimbursement and CARE systems.  Position functions as a member of the clinical treatment team, and coordinates treatment modalities.  Also authorizes all treatment plans, consults with other clinical staff on difficult cases, participates in quality assurance activities, and acts as liaison with other community providers.  Minimum Qualifications: Physician position requires licensure to practice medicine in the State of Texas, plus three years of licensed medical practice.  Or, successful completion of an approved residency training in two specialties with certification by at least one specialty member’s board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or equivalent body.  The Nurse Practitioner position requires a Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university, plus current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse and board certification as an Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive privileges and four (4) years of work experience as an RN in a recognized health care facility.  OR, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university, plus current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse and board certification as an Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive privileges and five (5) years of work experience as an RN in a recognized health care facility. Position is responsible for planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and administering agency HCS program throughout the northern ten-county service area.  HCS services are delivered in both small group homes and in consumers’ own home/foster home.  Responsibilities include supervision of program Case Managers, Home Managers, Nursing staff and clerical support staff; oversight of day-to-day program operations, including, but not limited to monitoring services delivered, developing budgets and ensuring that program practices are compliant with the Principles for Participation in the Home & Community Based Waiver Program; serves in the after-hours on-call administration; and provides transportation services as necessary.  Must have knowledge of the delivery of human services in Texas, as well as a working knowledge of Medicaid, including eligibility, service delivery and billing guidelines.  Requires extensive travel within the ten-county service area.  Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social work, sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or other related human services field, plus three years of work experience with programs serving persons with developmental disabilities, two of which must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity.  Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.  Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in related field and 2 years experience, LPC/LMSW/LCSW/ABA a plus.  Three years of management experience in a community-based human services program and working computer skills including MS Word, Excel & CARE.
